~ Helen Radford Scholarship Award ~

The Somis Town and Country Club is one of the oldest non-profit organizations in Ventura County.  The Club was started in 1952 by Somis resident Helen Radford.  It has elected board members and meets monthly.  Our membership gives financial assistance to students in the form of academic scholarships.

This year we will award two $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school graduates who are residents of Somis.  Students applying to a four-year college or to a community college or a trade school are eligible.  Our goal is to promote and reward academic achievement and to help students achieve their full potential.

The scholarship awards will be based on scholastic achievement, financial need, extra-curricular activities both in school and in the community, and a personal statement.  The money will be awarded upon receipt of proof (copy) of the college acceptance letter.
